Mary Spiteri - The Dress that Made History
Step into an evening of elegance, nostalgia, and purpose, set within the prestigious surroundings of San Anton Palace.
This event centres around a truly iconic moment in Malta’s cultural history, the unforgettable performance by Mary Spiteri at the Eurovision Song Contest 1992, where she achieved an outstanding 3rd place for Malta.
At the heart of the evening lies the original dress worn during that performance, generously donated by Mary Spiteri and now being auctioned in aid of The Malta Community Chest Fund.
Guests will enjoy an intimate and engaging live interview and Q&A session, hosted by Angie Laus, offering a rare opportunity to hear first-hand stories from Mary’s Eurovision journey, her career, and the personal significance of the dress itself. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in the discussion, creating a warm and memorable atmosphere.
The evening will also serve as the centrepiece of a special online auction, open one week before and closing one week after the event, inviting both local and international audiences to bid for this unique piece of Eurovision history.
Following the discussion, guests will have the opportunity to meet Mary Spiteri, enjoy photo opportunities, and mingle during a reception.
Organised in collaboration with OGAE Malta, this event also reaches an international audience of Eurovision enthusiasts, making the auction a truly global initiative.
